Meet Indy.
Indy Gloyd (they/them), LAC
Meet with Indy at our Sierra Vista Location!
Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, discouraged by past experiences, or burdened by the belief that something is “wrong” with them. They may carry heavy self-judgment and uncertainty about who they are, where they belong, or how to move forward.
I take a person-centered, non-pathologizing approach that honors each client’s individuality, lived experience, and identity. I prioritize trust, validation, and collaboration, tailoring therapy to what each client needs rather than a one-size-fits-all model. When appropriate, I use humor and playfulness to help soften self-criticism and create space for self-understanding.
While working with me, clients often develop greater self-compassion, clarity, and confidence over time, allowing them to build more supportive relationships with themselves and others and move forward with a stronger sense of authenticity and ease.
I work with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, stress and burnout, self-esteem and identity concerns, grief and loss, suicidal ideation and self-harm. My specialities include gender identity exploration and support, autism-affirming therapy for adolescents and young adults, relationship diversity and kink-affirming care, chronic illness and disability support. I approache therapy through Humanistic, Strength-Based, Eclectic, CBT, DBT, and EMDR lenses.
I am a Licensed Associate Counselor with several years of experience providing mental health care in community and clinical settings. Over the past four years, I have worked in community mental health and at a Joint Commission–accredited, veteran-led practice in Arizona, providing counseling to adults and children in office, via telehealth, and in community settings, including schools and homes. My background includes advocacy and direct service work with individuals living with chronic disabilities, families with children, and veterans experiencing homelessness, providing a range of interventions, including crisis support when appropriate. I am a LGBTQIA+ knowledgeable therapist and an advocate for relationship diversity who has co-presented to clinicians on working competently with BDSM- and kink-affirming relationship dynamics in therapy.
When I’m not at work, you can find me spending time outdoors—feeling the warmth of the sun or a cool breeze—with my dog by my side and good company nearby brings me a deep sense of peace and connection.
